Juventus and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon says that Antonio Conte is the best coach he has worked with in his career.
The former Siena boss took the reins at the Turin giants in the summer of 2011 and has since delivered two successive Serie A titles and led the Old Lady to the Champions League quarterfinals.
“I think every coach has had a decisive impact on my career development, but I have to say that Conte is definitely the best coach I’ve worked with," Buffon told Fifa.com.
“In a short space of time he’s breathed new life into a team who in two seasons could do no better than seventh place. And he was a winner straightaway."
Buffon, who captains Italy as well as Juve, held high praise for Italy boss Cesare Prandelli as well, saying he has revolutionized the Azzurri team since taking over in 2010.
"Thanks to the excellent job Cesare Prandelli is doing, I think we've found a balance between defensive solidity and an attacking approach that allows our great forwards to express themselves better," Buffon said.
Prandelli led Italy to the Euro 2012 final in his first tournament in charge of his country.
