Sampdoria vs Napoli preview - Battle at the top

Two of Serie A's top three meet at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday, with third-placed Sampdoria hosting the side immediately above them, Napoli.

They, along with leaders Juventus, are the only sides not to have lost so far this season and in all probability, that will give on Snunday night.

And, according to Samp midfielder Gianni Munari, his team are more than capable of being the ones left standing.

They showed their character in recovering from a goal down to take a point from Roma while playing with 10 men on Wednesday, and summer signing Munari said: "In the second half on Wednesday it was a real test of character.

"Roma had some chances but we enterted the second half and played a great game.

"We are a team full of character. I'm looking forward to this year and we have the game to take on all teams."

Regardless of how well Sampdoria are playing, they will have their hands full against an equally in-form Napoli side.

Walter Mazzarri's men went joint top of the table with their 3-0 win over Lazio in midweek,

Edison Cavani stole the show then, scoring a hat-trick to down the capital club, but he is of the opinion that it is too early in the season to be talking about his side as possible title contenders.

"It's way too soon for us to be discussing winning the Scudetto. We take it a game at a time," he said.
