Top bosses' ticker curse
REDKNAPP isn't the first football boss with heart trouble.
West Ham's Sam Allardyce had an op to remove a blockage in one of his arteries while at Blackburn in 2009.
In the same year, then-Newcastle manager Joe Kinnear had a triple heart bypass after feeling ill before a game at West Brom.
Surgery ... Sam Allardyce and Gerard Houllier
Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier had open heart surgery in 2001 after suffering chest pains during a game against Leeds.
He had another health scare last April and had to quit his role at Aston Villa.
Ex-Rangers boss Graeme Souness had a triple heart bypass in 1992 — and suffered panic attacks as he battled back to health.
Sir Alex Ferguson took charge of Scotland in 1986 after boss Jock Stein died of a heart attack at the end of a World Cup qualifier.
Fergie had a pacemaker fitted in 2004 — but was back to work the next day.
