I felt pain in my chest...I struggled to breathe - Harry Redknapp on scare that led to heart op
In good form ... Harry Redknapp says he is 'doing OK' as he recovers from drama

SOCCER boss Harry Redknapp told last night how he "struggled to breathe" during his heart scare.

The Spurs manager said he knew he was in trouble when he had chest pains while running on a treadmill at his Dorset home.

'Arry, 64, needed heart surgery on dangerously narrowed arteries. But he said he is "OK" and promised to be back on the White Hart Lane touchline "in a couple of weeks".

The football chief last night admitted his heart scare was "a warning sign from within".

But the defiant Tottenham manager said: "It won't stop me running — I might even do the marathon one day."

And although he conceded managing a top football club is a stressful business, he vowed: "This isn't going to stop me doing the job I love."

He also insisted he had NOT had a heart attack and tried to dismiss the drama as "no big deal".

He added: "I love my football and won't be walking away any time soon. I can assure everyone I'm doing OK."

Redknapp was talking exclusively to The Sun as he recovered at home following his heart op, in which his arteries were widened by metal "stents" to improve blood flow.

He had to watch Spurs on TV from his sofa last night as they lost 1-0 to Russian side Rubin Kazan in a Europa League game.

Workaholic Redknapp, a SunSport columnist, told how he felt "absolutely fine" until Thursday last week. He said:

I have a running machine at home and run or jog for around half an hour several times a week to help stay fit.

But this time I went on and had been running for no more than about two minutes when I felt pains in my chest.
