East Fife are again without defender Andrew Cook, who is representing Great Britain in the World University Games in China, when Airdrie United visit.

The New Bayview side are also without the unavailable defender David White and striker Scott Dalziel who has picked up a knock.

However, manager John Robertson will be able to include goalkeeper Mark Ridgers and striker Robert Ogleby after Under-21 international duty.

Robertson is expecting an open contest against the Diamonds and said: "They had a great result against Dumbarton last week and they achieved that through open attacking play.

"We are looking to adopt the same approach so it should be a really exciting game.

"They started with a bang last week and we need to guard against that."

Airdrie are again without the injured full-back Graeme Goodall, midfielder Sean Lynch and winger Alastair Woodburn.

Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle reckons that there is no way that this game will finish goalless.

He said: "East Fife like to bomb forward at pace and so do we so there should definitely be goals.

"As long as score more than them I am not worried about the final score, but no doubt it will be a goalless draw after me saying that.

"We worked hard during pre-season to get into a good shape and we are all feeling positive after a good start to the season.

"Hopefully we will still be feeling that way once this game is over."
