David Beckham is on the food ball

DAVID Beckham has taken over cooking duties — and whipped up a tasty risotto for his family.

The former England ace is king of the kitchen while wife Victoria recuperates after the birth of their fourth child last Sunday.

Harper Seven — the couple's first daughter — was delivered by Caesarean section.

Becks, 36, was so proud of his culinary concoction he posted a snap of it on Facebook and wrote: "A little something I made earlier ... a home-made risotto for the family."

David has spoken of his love of cooking in the past.

And he took lessons while playing for Italian club AC Milan last year.

Before starting the course, he said: "It's something I've always wanted to do.

"I've always loved cooking. Now I'm in Italy, I want to learn how to make amazing pasta.

"It's gone from a small ambition of wanting to learn how to make pasta to the extreme of doing this course professional chefs do. It's something I'm passionate about."

In case of a kitchen dilemma Becks can also count on the help of close friend Gordon Ramsay.

He has grown close to the TV chef in recent years and the pair are thought to be developing a pie and mash restaurant concept together.
