He attended the Kandyland party with Man City star Shaun Wright-Phillips, 29, and Bolton's Zat Knight, 31. The trio were also spotted at a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game.
Cole had a fling with Kayla when she came over to the UK after appearing on ITV's I'm A Celebrity last year.
They were seen partying in London at the Funky Buddha nightclub until 3am before being pictured together at a hotel.
But for months Ashley has been trying to woo ex Cheryl back into his life with a string of phone calls and texts.
After Cheryl was dumped from the US version of X Factor and returned to Britain she was smuggled back into the couple's home near Godalming, Surrey.
Following the reunion Ashley changed his BlackBerry messenger status to "I Only Love You" - but then went off to Los Angeles for a holiday where he met up with Kayla.
