Airdrie come from behind
Posted Saturday, September 25, 2010 by PA
Airdrie United came from a goal behind to snatch all three points from Forfar with a 2-1 win at Station Park.
Michael Bolocheweckyj fired the home side in front 25 minutes into the game, converting a Martyn Fotheringham corner from close range.
However, Airdrie improved dramatically after the break and were back on level terms in the 58th minute.
Phillip Johnson played the ball across the face of the goal and Ryan McCord was on hand to fire past the helpless Forfar stopper Scott Gallagher from close range.
Ryan Wallace turned out to be the Airdrie hero when he netted the winner in the 75th minute, converting a Jamie Stevenson cross from just inside the box.
