Peterhead defender Bobby Mann misses out against Forfar and is joined on the sidelines by striker Davie Ross

Mann is struggling with an ankle knock while Ross is still troubled by a knee problem, but winger Graeme Sharp is available after work commitments saw him miss out against East Stirling.

Balmoor manager Neale Cooper is pleased with how his side responded in midweek to last Saturday's opening-day loss to Stenhousemuir.

He said: "We gave away a couple of goals at Ochilview and that disappointed me, I wanted a reaction from the players. I certainly got that with a 6-1 win over East Stirling.

"We will need to be at our best again as Forfar got a great result last Saturday to open their Second Division campaign."

Forfar boss Dick Campbell is missing suspended defenders Iain Campbell and Michael Bolochoweckyj.

Striker Ross Campbell is available after sitting out the 3-2 midweek win over Queens Park through suspension.

Goalkeeper Scott Gallagher looks set to be restored between the posts after being rested ahead of Scotland Under-21 duty in midweek, with defender Mark McCulloch also available to the Station Park boss.

And Campbell is looking to round off an excellent opening to the season by winning at Peterhead.

He said: "We were bottom of the SFL two seasons ago and now we are in the Second Division and we want to keep the good times going by seeing off Peterhead."
