Monday, August 22 2016 by SNTV
  • Andy Murray is up to 22 wins in a row, defeating Milos Raonic 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday, 20 August, to advance to the final of the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.

Andy Murray is into his forth successive tournament final, after Queens, Wimbledon and the Olympics, as he reached the final of the Cincinnati Open om Saturday.

On a run of 21 matches unbeaten, a career best, he was hoping to make that 22 up against a familiar rival this summer, Milos Raonic.

Getting an early break and shots like this set Murray on his way early on. Raonic could do nothing.

Taking the first set by six games to three, Murray waited until the eighth game of the second set for a break of serve, as the world number two covered the court is exceptional style.

A delightful drop shot finished Raonic off as Murray took the game 6-3, 6-3 and the Olympic champion's unbeaten run continues to 22 games.

Murray will face Marin Cillic in the Masters 1000 final.
