  • Assad Shafiq faced the press following his century in the second day of the fourth test against England.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Asad Shafiq. (On how far Pakistan need to be ahead of England after their first innings.)

"Well - it feels good to have a first innings lead and we have to bat really well from here to get a hundred run lead. Then it would be very good for the bowlers to some back hard."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Asad Shafiq, after his century:

"Well Test cricket is always challenging. It feels great when you get a hundred because my last match wasn't very good. I got a pair on it. So I was working hard on my head position and my bat position, so it really worked for me, so I'm really happy now."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Asad Shafiq. (On moving up the order)

"I always like batting up the order because in Karachi, in Pakistan I used to bat at number three for my first class team. So I really used to bat at number three. There is problem with me."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Asad Shafiq. (On moving up the order)

"My coach and my captain came to me and they said that we think you could be useful at number three, so you are happy? So I said no problem with me."
