Murray struggles to get Union flag in position

Friday, August 05 2016 by SNTV
  • Great Britain flag bearer Andy Murray struggled to get to grips with a giant Union flag on Wednesday (3rd August) as he, his team-mates and Princess Anne posed for a group photograph.

The Team GB group photo didn't quite go to plan on Wednesday as the freshly announced Team GB flag bearer struggled to get to grips with a giant Union flag.

There were cheers and laughter as double Wimbledon champion struggled to position the flag without obstructing British royal family member Princess Anne.

After several fruitless attempts from photographers on megaphones to get Murray into exactly the right place, the huge set-piece photograph was finally achieved.

Murray will have another attempt at familiarising himself with the flag on Friday (5th August), on one of the biggest stages of all - the Olympic opening ceremony.
