  • Reaction from Novak Djokovic and Kei Nishikori on Sunday (31st July) after the Serb won 6-3 7-5 to clinch his fourth Rogers Cup title in Toronto for his 30th ATP Masters crown.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Novak Djokovic, 2016 Rogers Cup champion:

"Well, very proud of what my team and I have achieved this week. Obviously coming into this tournament I wanted to get as many matches as possible - both singles and doubles - and I lost first round doubles and struggled a little bit with the rhythm in first couple of rounds here in singles, but I raised the level of my game as the tournament went on and the best two performances came at the right time - last night in the semis and today the finals. I'm just very pleased with the way I played and with the way I feel so hopefully I can carry that in Rio."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Novak Djokovic, 2016 Rogers Cup champion:

"Yes, well I think 83 or 84 percent of first serves in, that's already a weapon on any surface and obviously I was hoping and wishing that they will come when I start getting more free points on the first serve and second serve was very accurate as well. No double faults and I was really going for my second serve. Against Kei, who's one of the best returners in the game, I had to use the serve accurately and effectively which I've done."
