CONFIRMED: Durant to join Golden State Warriors

  • Forward Kevin Durant announced on Monday (4th July) that he would be joining the Golden State Warriors for next season.

    NBA all-star Kevin Durant has announced he is set to join the Golden State Warriors from Oklahoma City Thunder.

    The 27 year-old will join the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson at the Warriors next season, in a formidable line-up.

    Durant led Thunder to the Western Conference finals in four of the past six years and the NBA Finals in 2012.

    The 2014 MVP reportedly met with Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat, before deciding to join the Warriors.

    Durant will officially join is new side on July 7th.
