Casey: 'They kicked our butts'

Friday, May 27 2016 by SNTV
  • Post-game reaction after the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Toronto Raptors 116-78 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday (25 May) in Ohio.

SOUNDBITE (English): Dwane Casey, Toronto Raptors Head Coach (On loss):

"They kicked our butts. That's the bottom line. You get outrebounded 19, 21, 19 turnovers, the physicality, we didn't meet that standard tonight. For whatever reason we haven't met it here in this building. So that's the bottom line. That's the ballgame. That's been all three games (at Cleveland)."

SOUNDBITE (English): Tyronn Lue, Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach (On team's defence and win):

"So we've been doing a good job of just holding teams to under 100 (points). And I just feel if we can hold teams under 100 (points), we can score 100 points to win the game. But I think our intensity picked up, our aggressiveness picked up. We were very physical to start the game and it just kind of led to us getting out in transition, getting steals and getting easy baskets."

SOUNDBITE (English): LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers Forward (On Kevin Love's play in win):

"You know, Kevin's (Love) a great guy. He's a great teammate and tonight was just a bounce back for him. He knew he didn't play his style of basketball or how he wanted to play to help us win in Toronto and he wanted to make a different outcome of it and he did that tonight. So he's a true professional."
