Kerr blames 'bad shots and lack of movement' for defeat

  • Post-game reaction after the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Golden State Warriors 133-105 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma on Sunday (22 May).

SOUNDBITE (English): Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors Head Coach

(On when game got away from Warriors)

"It wasn't so much turnovers, it was more just bad shots, quick shots, no movement. We weren't forcing them to defend at all, and that's death here because this team is athletic. On their home floor they're going to push the ball like crazy, and they got going in transition, and just opened it wide open."

SOUNDBITE (English): Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder Forward

    (On team's play in transition)

'Yeah, yeah, I mean we try to cover for each other and just make plays at the rim. And I was able to make one. When we get out in transition, we're pretty good. So just try to get stops and go as quick as we can. This team is good. They just set up and they can kind of dictate where they want you to go on the defensive end. So if we come at it a little quicker and get them off balance a little bit, that's to our advantage."

SOUNDBITE (English): Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder Guard

(On team feeding off home crowd)

"I mean, it's great. Like I said before, I think we have the best fans in all of sports because they're so committed. Regardless of what's going on throughout the game, they always tend to be very, very loud, especially this time of the year. And tonight was one of those nights where they were loud and excited to see us play. And it was great to be back in front of our home fans."

SOUNDBITE (English): Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors Guard

(On team's offensive struggles in second quarter)

"It was, I think for us it was a situation where three or four possessions, empty possessions with misses, them coming down in transition, scoring, it was just a bad flow out there and we couldn't stop it. I mean that was basically it."
