  • Byung Ho Park joins the Minnesota Twins

SOUNDBITE: (Korean) Byung Ho Park (on the most difficult part of the transition to MLB):

"Baseball is baseball, but I know that a lot of great players play in the Major Leagues. So I'm going to try my best to adjust to Major League Baseball. And besides baseball matters, my living situation - I'm going to try to adjust well as soon as possible."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Minnesota Twins VP Mike Radcliff on the most difficult part of the transition to Major League Baseball:

"Well there will obviously be a transition. It's different hitting in Korea, playing in Korea. The template is (Jung Ho) Kang last year, a team mate of Jung Ho's for several years. It took him some time to adjust to the pitching at the Major League level and the talent he'll be facing daily. But I don't think the transition process will be long and rigorous. I see him contributing next year and I think he will get better and better over the course of time that he's with us."
