  • Reaction from the New York Mets and Kansas City after a 5-3 win for the Royals on Saturday (31st November) clinched Game 4 and put them one win away from winning the World Series.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE (English): Edinson Volquez, Royals Game 5 starting pitcher (talks about what he expects his emotions to be, and mentions his dad, who died before he pitched in Game 1)

"I think it's gonna be for me really excited I just wanna thank God for my opportunity tomorrow to be on the mound and show the world why I'm here to compete with the other team and give our team a chance to win and I'm pretty sure my dad gonna be proud of me gonna pitch tomorrow from the mound, so we'll see.

SOUNDBITE (English): Ned Yost, Kansas City Royals Manager (talks about how his side rallied to win)

"That's just what our team does. We feel like if we can keep the game close, we're going to find a way to win it. Our bullpen is so dynamic, they give us a chance to win those type of games. And it's a team that just looks for a little crack. If we find a little crack, they're going to make something happen. It's amazing how they do that. And they do that in a number of ways. But the most important thing is they put the ball in play. They make things happen by putting the ball in play, and it's just a phenomenal group."
