Indonesia beat Thailand in the Thomas Cup finals

    The Indonesian men beat Thailand 4-1 on day four of the BWF (Badminton World Federation) Thomas Cup Finals in New Delhi, India on Wednesday (21st May).

    Script:

    Simon Santoso sealed the victory for Indonesia's men's team over Thailand in the final group match of the BWF Thomas Cup Finals on Wednesday.

    Santoso wrapped up the tie 21-13, 21-13 against 19-year-old rookie Thammasin Sitthikom , giving Indonesia an overall 4-1 win.

    Displaying his years of training and experience, Santoso dominated the game and helped Indonesia to secure the top spot in Group A.

    Thailand were the surprise winners of the opening singles between Tommy Sugiarto and Boonsak Ponsana.

    But the Thai men were unable to match Indonesia's depth in the other matches.

    The quarter-finals of the Thomas Cup will be played on Thursday 22nd May.
