We must learn from Dodgers defeat - Gibson

Monday, March 24 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson says his side must improve after losing twice to the LA Dodgers in the MLB Opening Series in Sydney.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Kirk Gibson, Arizona Diamondbacks Manager: (on the game two loss to the Dodgers)

"The Dodgers, you got to give them some credit. They pitched us well. They executed better than we did on the pitching side. And part of it is good fortune. In the game of baseball there are ebbs and flows. We're not happy we lost two games here, but understand it's a long season. We got 160 games to go. We'll have to learn some things from this. We know we have to execute better and play more consistently. Play the kind of game we are capable of playing and we'll have a better chance."
