    The Rio Open continued on Tuesday with an all-Spanish first round clash between Tommy Robredo and Pablo Carreno Busta.

    It was the second time in the space of eight days that the paired had faced eachother, following Robredo's straight sets win at the Copa Claro in Argentina last week.

    And Number four seed Robredo came out on top once again, with a 7-6, 6-3 win.

    Two more countrymen faced off in the next match, with Juan Monaco of Argentina taking on compatriot Horacio Zeballos

    And Juan Monaco emerged victorious 6-3, 6-1 victory.

    Elsewhere Alexandr Dolgopolov also advanced on Tuesday, after battling back from a set down against Nicolas Almagro.

    Almagro took the opening set 6-2, before the Ukrainian won the second 6-2 and the deicider 6-0, to notch a suprise victory,
