    There were wins for Andy Murray and Marin Cilic at the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.

    Both players could meet in the quarter finals if Murray can beat Austria's Dominic Thiem.

    Second-seeded Andy Murray dispatched Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets.

    His 6-3 6-3 victory saw him advance to the second round of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.

    Murray, who won the tournament in 2009, worked efficiently against his French counterpart, winnng in just under 90 minutes.

    The Wimbledon winner saved four break points, all in the second set.

    That win will see the Brit face Dominic Thiem of Austria in the next round.

    Elsewhere, there was an upset as unseeded Marin Cilic knocked out fifth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

    The Croat beat the Frenchman in straight sets 6-4 6-4 to advance to the quarter finals.

    Next up for him is the winner of the Murray/Thiem encounter.
