    Script:

Dominika Cibulkova beat 11th seeded Simona Halep in straight sets to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

The diminutive Cibulkova, is one of the shortest players on the WTA tour, but out-hit her opponent to reach her first Grand Slam semi-final since the 2009 French Open.

Cibulkova wrapped up the 6-3, 6-0 win, setting up a clash with Agnieszka Radwanska, who overcame Victoria Azarenka.

The number five seed Radwanska, who had lost three consecutive quarter-final defeats at the Australian Open won the opening set 6-1.

Azarenka came back in the second set winning it 7-5, much to the delight of her popstar boyfriend in the stands.

But in the deciding set Radwanska was dominant form taking it 6-0 to progress to the last four.

The result leaves 2011 French Open champion Li Na as the only former major winner, remaining in the women's draw.
