Victoria Azarenka is aiming to win the Australian Open for a third year in a row.

She played on the center court at Melbourne Park in hot conditions that she compared to "dancing in a frying pan."

Despite the heat she won in straight sets against her Swedish opponent Johanna Larsson 7-6, 6-2

Fifth seed Angieszka Radwanska is also through after beating Kazakhstan's Yulia Putintseva

Radwanska cruised to the first set 6-0 but then Putintseva forced back to win the second 7-5 and force a decider.

The Pole though regained the upper hand in the third set - beating her teenage opponent - winning it 6-2.

Former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki had no such problems against Spain's Lourdes Dominguez Lino, winning in straight sets. Wozniacki winning 6-0, 6-2
