    England's unseeded pair, Chris Adcock and Gabrielle White, booked their place in the final of mixed doubles of Hong Kong Open after beating world and Olympic champions Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei on Saturday (November 23).

    The semi-finals of the BWF Hong Kong Open were staged at Hong Kong Coliseum on Saturday.
    The semi-final action began with the mixed doubles, in which number one seeds, world and Olympic champions Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei faced English pair, Chris Adcock and Gabrielle White.
    But, the newly married Chinese pair were upset by the English duo in two games, 21-12, 21, 16.
    In the following women's singles, China's Wang Yihan faced Thailand sensation Porntip Buranaparasertsuk, who went into her semi-final after beating world number one on Friday.
    After losing the first game, former world number one Wang won two consecutive games to book her place in the final.
    Lee Chong Wei met eighth seed Boonsak Ponsana from Thailand in men's singles.
    Lee wrapped up the match in just half an hour, winning 21-12, 21-7.
    And here was another upset in the women's doubles.
    China's young pair of Ou Dongni and Tang Yuanting beat the second seeds, Denmark's Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl in two games, 21-13, 21-15.
    In men's doubles, fourth seeded Korean duo, Kim Ki Jung and Kim Sa Rang booked their place in the final after beating Chris Adcock and Andrew Ellis of England in two games, 21-13, 21-14.
