SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Parker, French point guard:
"The journey was unbelievable, and I would change nothing. Going through pain, growing pains, ups and downs, bronze medals, silver medal and finally getting a gold. Its just unbelievable, feel like I'm very lucky. We had unbelievable coaching staff, unbelievable team mates who believed in me and believed that we can do it together, and today it was maybe our best game as a team, at the perfect moment. And it just means a lot. Just very happy for French sports and for French basketball."
SOUNDBITE (English) Donatas Motiejunas, Lithuanian point guard
"It was a tough game. They played better today. They are better team then us. They deserved to win. We did not play good, but we are happy. We won the silver."
SOUNDBITE (English) Tony Parker, French point guard:
"In 2000, we won the European championship (under 21), and something happened in my heart, like, I was , man, great basketball, I love playing for my national team. And Boris same thing, and Florent Pietrus - same, Ronnie Thurieu. We all had that fire to play for the national team, and we promised to each other that we are going to win - the first one ever - on a senior level. And then, Pau Gasol arrived with Spain. And then it was a long journey, because his generation is very very good."
