The final day of action at Equestrianism's Nations Cup series event in Aachen, Germany on Sunday, saw the host nation sweep the board in the Deutsche Bank dressage event.

Helen Langehanenberg, riding the curiously-named Damon Hill on the day of the British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, received a score of 85.150 per cent from the judges, beating compatriots Kristina Sprehe and Dorothee Schneider into second and third places respectively.

The prestigious Rolex Grand Prix Showjumping event brought the ten-day festival to a close and the crowd were treated to a vintage performance from Michael Whitacker.

The 52 year-old Briton cruised to victory in a three-horse jump off on GIG Amai.

The partnership clocked 49.73 seconds to claim an emphatic victory and collect the prize money.

Germany's Thomas Voss had to settle for second after registering 54.37, while his German compatriot Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum finished third aboard  Thomas Voss.
