Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska was hot favourite for the Brussels Open title, when she took on Simona Halep in Saturday's final.

Radwanska hadn't dropped a set on the way to the final, but her unseeded opponent made her fight in the first set.

Halep had beaten Jelena Jankovic and Dominika Cibulkova on the way to her third career final and held her own in the early stages, serving for the first set at 5-4.

But that was as good as it got for the Romanian, as Radwanska proceeded to win nine consecutive games to take the title, 7-5 6-0.

The world number three now has three titles this season, after winning in Dubai and Miami, and has won 36 matches, more than any other women's player in 2012.

    SOUNDBITE (English): Agnieszka Radwanska
"Yes exactly. I'm just very happy that I can have my tenth title and on a clay court, so I'm just very happy , especially that all the matches I could close in two sets. So just ready for the French Open now."

She goes into the French Open in top form as she aims for her first Grand Slam title.
