Zenit St Petersburg star Artem Dzyuba collected his league winners medal by dressing up as Marvel superhero Deadpool.

The eastern European side lifted a third consecutive Russian Premier League title after seeing off Lokomotiv Moscow 6-1.

Club forwards Sardar Azmoun and Artem Dzyuba have been having their own race to the Golden Boot, with 19 and 18 goals each.

But footage has emerged of the 32-year-old coming out on top when it comes to the best outfit for medal reception.

In the clip, the players were receiving their medals in front of a crowd of approximately 40,000 at the Gazprom Arena.

After Azmoun picks his medal up with a gold celebratory shirt on for the title, he is followed by Dzyuba - who is wearing a Deadpool outfit.

The forward is dressed from head to toe in the famous red-and-black Marvel combat outfit, complete with a utility belt and face mask.

And Dzyuba gives the officials on the medal podium a strong handshake while also taking one of his two sons up to receive the medal.

One even gets a high-five from Deadpool, who goes on to lift the Russian Premier League trophy.

The Russian was joined in lifting the trophy by former Liverpool defender and last season’s Premier League winner Dejan Lovren.

And it marks a positive end to a controversial year for Dzyuba, having been banned from the Russian national squad following the release of a sex tape involving the 32-year-old went viral.

The forward has scored 198 career goals for club and country, notching 91 with Zenit.

But the most important goal of his career came in his home country’s World Cup round-of-16 against Spain, drawing the hosts level at 1-1 before winning on penalties.

Dzyuba’s Deadpool was brought to the big screen by Ryan Reynolds - who has been an owner of non-league side Wrexham since the middle of February.
