Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham as his side sit seventh in the Premier League, having been top in November - and the 58-year-old has spoken out on his Instagram page

Jose Mourinho has spoken out for the first time since his Tottenham sacking - by ranting at media outside his house.

The Portuguese manager was shown the door by Spurs owner Daniel Levy as his side sit seventh in the Premier League table, having been top at the end of November.

Having been in north London for just 17 months, it saw the 58-year-old win just 44 games from his 86 in charge.

And the sacked manager has shared footage on his Instagram channel moaning at the media outside his London home.

The former Spurs boss panned the camera around the pavement outside his house, where cameramen and Sky Sports reporter Gary Cotterill were seen.

Speaking during the clip - which gained more than 500,000 views within half an hour of publishing - Mourinho says: "They don't give me privacy. Even my friend Gary is disturbing me. That's my life!"

Images from Sky Sports also emerged, with the 58-year-old getting items out of his car including large photographs from his career.

When pushed by Cotterill on the timing of his exit, the ex-Spurs boss simply said: "I'm not going to speak. You know me."

The reporter then asks: "Will we see you again soon? Bit of a holiday, recharge the batteries?"

But Mourinho was not budging in his response as he said: "No need. No need for breaks and batteries."

When asked if he would be back in football, the 58-year-old simply replied: "I"m always in football."

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019 after the Champions League finalists sat 14th in the table.

And he enjoyed moderate success, managing to pull Tottenham back to sixth in the 2019/20 season.

But it has been a tough campaign this year after seeing his side drop from the top of the table to seventh in 21 games, recording just seven wins to nearly end Spurs’ Champions League hopes this year.

While they have a chance of silverware in the Carabao Cup final, they were dumped out of the FA Cup in the fifth round by Everton in a 5-4 thriller.

And Mourinho was humiliated in the Europa League round-of-16 second leg by Dinamo Zagreb, throwing away a 2-0 first-leg lead to lose 3-2 on aggregate in stoppage time.
