Neymar has dismissed images of a verified Tinder account that was using his name and likeness on social media - and joked that he hopes the real user was using it wisely

Neymar has laughed off a verified Tinder account that had been using his identity before joking that he hoped the person running it was using it wisely.

The Brazil and PSG forward enjoys a party lifestyle alongside his incredibly successful professional career - but hasn’t gone as far as to set up an account on the dating app.

The 29-year-old, who has built up a Twitter following of over 50million since joining back in June of 2010, felt the need to address the images to the delight of his fans.

He said: “I hope that whoever is using the tinder with my name ... is representing well huh #ISFAKE.”

Back in 2015 Neymar was open about this desire to settle down with a family with his son Davi Lucca, now 9, who he shares with former girlfriend Carolina Dantas.

He told Spanish Outlet Sport: “I would like to meet a woman, get married and have kids.

“It's something that I always talk about with my friends, I have this dream of being married in a church, going out to party with my friends and have my children by my side every day.

"I have a child that lives far away and I know how difficult it is. The dream of wanting to be a father with a family continues."

Despite links with a move back to Barcelona in recent seasons, both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe look set to extend their stays with PSG following the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino.

He explained in an interview with TF1 in January: “I am happy today. I am truly happy.

"Things have changed a lot. I can’t exactly explain why. But today, I am feeling good. I have adapted. I am calmer and I am happier. I want to stay at PSG.

"I also want Kylian to stay. We want PSG to be a great team. I want to continue to play football and be happy, that is the most important thing.

“With Kylian Mbappe, we have a relationship of brothers. I am the eldest. We really like to play together.

"I want to get the best out of him. He's a golden boy. I call him 'Golden Boy' because he's really golden. He has a huge heart. As a footballer you know what he is worth, but even off the pitch he is amazing.

"He is smiling, happy, he knows how to have fun. We are very similar and we have to be happy to be 100 per cent."
