Bruno Fernandes was filmed in a furious outburst at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the last minute of Manchester United's draw against Liverpool.

The Portuguese midfielder was brought off on 89 minutes for Mason Greenwood as the Red Devils chased a late winner, ultimately falling short in a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

And the decision left the 26-year-old seething, with the Sky Sports cameras picking up his yells to the bench.

Fernandes raises his right hand while remonstrating at Solskjaer before coming off the pitch for Greenwood.

Hanging his head as he stepped off the turf, the midfielder had a frustrated high-five with the manager before skulking up to his seat.

United battled to the share of points against their rivals, extending their lead at the top of the table to two points over second-placed Leicester.

While they only had eight shots on goal compared to Liverpool's 13, they did have one more shot that was on target with their four efforts.

But it was a tough day for Fernandes, failing to register either a goal or assist in consecutive games for the first time since mid-December.

And it saw United legend Roy Keane's comments on the man with 15 goals and nine assists this season were correct.

Speaking on Sky Sports after United's Carabao Cup loss to Manchester City earlier this month, the former midfielder said: "It's not easy winning football trophies.

"Fernandes has had great praise for the last few months and people have been comparing him to [Eric] Cantona etc. Fernandes didn't really do much tonight.

"The top players turn up on the big occasions. And that's what the Cantona's used to do – they get their hands on trophies. That's where this team are a little bit short."

While Fernandes struggled at Anfield, he did win the Premier League Player of the Month award for his December performances.

It was his fourth time picking up the accolade in 12 months, meaning he equalled Cristiano Ronaldo's record at the club.
