Marco Asensio's Real Madrid win the FIFA LaLiga Santander Challenge Cup

With Marco Asensio wearing the captain's armband, Real Madrid were crowned champions of the LaLiga Santander Challenge organised by LaLiga, Ibai Llanos and MARCA.

Nineteen LaLiga Santander sides took part, and all of the donations have already reached over 142,000 euros, but that figure will continue to rise.

Asensio showed throughout the weekend that he's put in hours of practice on FIFA 20, eventually beating Leganes and Aitor Ruibal 4-2 in the final.

Asensio was key on the pitch as well as he formed a fearsome trident with Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard that couldn't be stopped.

Madrid started the weekend as favourites and it was confirmed with each game as Asensio's side scored five against Villarreal, seven against Eibar and four more in the final against Leganes.

Guido Carrillo claimed the Pichichi with nine goals ahead of Lucas Perez on seven.
