Emre, 24, made 167 appearances for Liverpool after joining in 2014, scoring 14 goals.

But today the German international joined Italian champions Juve on a free transfer.

His girlfriend is the glamourous Maria Cataleya.

The pair have been together for a number of years, recently posting a picture of the two sharing a kiss in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

His final appearance was Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Emre — who has 20 international caps — didn't make Germany's World Cup squad, but he was greeted like a hero in Turin this afternoon.

Wearing dark sunglasses, he signed autographs and took selfies with supporters as he arrived at Juventus for a medical.

Juventus shared a slick video of Emre at the team's stadium with the slogan: "Are you ready for next season? He is".

The club's Instagram account also shared a picture of Emre taking a selfie in front of the club's logo.

Emre shared a video paying tribute to Liverpool's fans.

In it, he said: "Today is the first day of a new chapter of my life, and I want to say thank you to all the people of Liverpool."

Defender Daniele Rugani may make the opposite move from Juventus to the Premier League — with rumours saying he's on his way to Chelsea.
