Brechin welcome back goalscoring midfielder Alan Trouten after a knock when they host Dunfermline however the Glebe Park men will be missing a lot of pace from their attack.

Wingers Derek Carcary (hamstring) and Bobby Barr (ankle) will both miss out, with manager Ray McKinnon hoping a sickness bug that saw two of his squad miss training on Thursday passes quickly.

McKinnon said: "This should be a terrific game as Dunfermline are still a huge club. They may have a young squad but they have good players and this will be a real test.

"We are a bit limited in our attacking options but we will give it a go."

Dunfermline have a fully-fit squad for the first time this season as they look to keep hold of second place in the League One table.

East End Park manager Jim Jefferies said: "I have told the players that they have done well to get into second place but the hard work really starts now in keeping ourselves up there.

"Brechin are another of the part-time sides who have more experience in their ranks than we do, so our youngsters are in for another tough afternoon.

"They have handled everything that has been thrown at them so far and I am sure they will rise to the occasion again."
