Livingston vs Greenock Morton preview - McGlynn takes reins

Livingston will be under the control of new manager John McGlynn for the first time when Morton visit the Energy Assets Arena.

The former Raith and Hearts boss took over on Thursday after a parting of the ways with Richie Burke and his arrival could not have been timed better as Keaghan Jacobs, Burton O'Brien and Stefan Scougall could return after injury.

Player-assistant manager Mark Burchill, who has remained in his post, is struggling with a calf problem and Jack Beaumont's ankle injury keeps him out.

McGlynn said: "I will not have a lot of time with the players but I want us to start climbing the table."

Morton's summer signing Reece Hands will miss out against Livingston after suffering a groin injury in training.

The midfielder joins Thomas O'Ware (foot) and Joe McKee (ankle) on the sidelines but David O'Brien returns after a thigh strain.

Cappielow boss Allan Moore is warning his men to be ready for motivated opponents.

He said: "The Livingston players will be out to show John McGlynn that they should be part of his team going forward. We need to match that determination and then go out and win the game.

"We want to win this one just as much as they do in order that we can start climbing the table."
