  • SOUNDBITE (Spanish): David Aganzo, Football Players Association President:

"Very soon we will be in touch with the owner (of La Liga) we will tell them all the problems that we the footballers have. From then on if over the days that are established things are not solved - we are going to have try for a solution - but if you ask me about the idea of a strike I will tell you that we are prepared to see this through to the end."

SOUNDBITE (Spanish): David Aganzo, Football Players Association President:

"Football is something else, a Seville or Madrid? How can Seville play without its supporters, travel to the US? It doesn't make any sense. The supporters of course must be against this sort of thing, of course. We are getting to the point that football has lost sense. I will repeat this all the times necessary: common sense needs to start to rule as well. It cannot be allowed that the President of La Liga takes a decision on an agreement for 15 years. Also I need to talk about the action not just the 15 years, we have a person who says they are trying to improve this sport he then takes such a drastic decision that affects many people who live off football, and this person takes the decision without even consulting."
