Everton complete Gylfi Sigurdsson signing

  • Everton completed the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea City on Wednesday (16th August).

    Everton have completed the signing of midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson for a fee reported to be in the region of £45 million

    The Iceland international passed his medical at the club on Wednesday morning but won't play in their UEFA Europa League qualifier with Croatian side Hajduk Split on Thursday.

    His debut could be Everton's league game against Manchester City next Monday.

    His fee eclipses the one Everton paid to Chelsea for striker Romelu Lukaku in 2014.
