  • Reaction from Tony Pulis after West Bromwich Albion drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough at home on Sunday (28th August) in the English Premier League.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion coach:

    (on the result)

"Well, first 20 -25 minutes I thought we played really well and we needed to score then because the game went on and petered out. It was very, very hot and humid out there and the lads looked a little bit tired in the second half. Not sure if that was from the game against Northamptoin in the week. But they're a great group of lads they keep working and keep going and that's all you can ask from them."

(Q: should you have a penalty for the foul on Rondon (Salomon)?)

"We should have had a penalty for that and there's another I think were (Gareth) McAuley's shirt get pulled as well. But you know we didn't get so we have to move on."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion coach:

(on the position of players he seeks to join the squad)

"No, it's everywhere. I think we need (players) all the way through the pitch. I think we need more legs and you know the team is an old team as said last year and the year before probably. We need legs and obviously we need quality, but we also need some legs. And I'm not having a go. I think if you speak any of the players, they're all the same. They're all waiting for people to come in."
