  • Reaction from joint-leaders Denmark's Jeff Winther and Thomas Pieters of Belgium, plus Sweden's Robert Karlsson, after the second round of the Czech Masters in Prague on Friday (19th August).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jeff Winther (Denmark), joint-leader at 10-under-par:

(on his eagle at the first hole, his tenth):

"Oh, that was a surprise. I was definitely in the bunker, the fairway bunker. There was one (ball) in there, and it was Olly (Oliver) Wilson's instead, so... I guess mine just bounced around the bunker, then out onto the fairway, so I was a bit lucky. I hit a great shot on the green and a great putt as well, so... a 'thieving' eagle!"

SOUNDBITE: (English) Jeff Winther (Denmark), jojoint-leader at 10-under-par:

(on pulling away from the field with a four shot lead)

"I really, really tried not to think about the scores, just keep chugging away and I have a great caddie that helps me work away from the scoring, so keep chugging away at every shot and every hole."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Pieters (Belgium), joint-leader at 10-under-par:

    (on back-to-back 67s)

"Yeah, it's always nice to go bogey-free and I made some nice putts out there and you know, I'm hitting my irons very well, my ball-striking's been very good the last few days."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Thomas Pieters (Belgium), joint-leader at 10-under-par:

(on carrying momentum into the weekend)

"Yeah, I thought there would be a little lower scores after the morning wave went out, but it's just... I have to do my own thing and if that means pulling away from the field, then that's it, but I'm not really pulling away, there are plenty of good players behind me and it will be a fun weekend."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Robert Karlsson (Sweden), joint-leader at 10-under-par:

(on reaching 6 under par at the halfway stage)

"Yeah, I'm very happy. Very, very happy. Came off to a bit of a... I played really good on the back nine, my front nine today, just did a couple of mistakes in the wrong place, made the turn after eight holes, I was two over and it was like 'I'm not really playing this badly', so I turned it around and got a couple of birdies on the front, so it was nice."
