  • Great Britain's Helen Glover, Olympic gold medallist in the women double scull has expressed her relief that her Olympic campaign is over following her rowing success.

SOUNDBITE Helen Glover, Olympic gold medal in the women double scull:

"Last night unfortunately I had an early night, because our teammates are racing today, and we had to be back up just in case something happen to them, so I went home early thinking I get some sleep, didn't sleep, full of adrenaline, replaying in my mind what happened in the race and just enjoying sharing kind of messages, getting back to people I haven't spoken to for ages, to trying to be focused, just in and out of sleep, didn't get much rest."

SOUNDBITE Helen Glover, Olympic gold medal in the women double scull:

"When I first wake up I, momentarily I thought that I have dreamt the day before, and I thought I was waking up the day of my final, and a little bit stressed and having to race, then I realised, no, is done, is the first day in four years I'm waking up and no thought about my Rio final, literally the first time in four years, even when I woke up in London and start thinking about Rio, it was the first morning I didn't have to, so was amazing."

SOUNDBITE Helen Glover, Olympic gold medal in the women double scull:

"I mean, yeah, I think is incredible that Samsung has come out with something that could be really practical for us athletes, we go away, I mean we go on training camps, we are way from our families long time, some of the guys in the team have young children, I didn't see my parents for a long time and if we can, you know work with Samsung to make something really usable, these headsets and we can take out and feel like we sat next to our loving ones when we are actually across to the other side of the world, I think it will make going away lot easier as well, is one of the hardships of being an athlete is that you don't see your loving ones and I think you'll probably feel a little bit closer to them."
