Rio mayor Eduardo Paes drew a line under so-called "Kangaroo Gate" on Wednesday (27th July) as the Australian Olympic delegation confirmed that they were now satisfied with their accommodation at the Olympic Village.

"We have a little boxing kangaroo, a little b-k, and also a gold team Australia shirt which I will asking him (Rio mayor Eduardo Paes) to put on, on the stage. Not sure how that will go but all in the spirit of friendliness. It's a great Village now, we are very happy. He (Paes) has gone out of his way to provide so much workforce for all the national Olympic committees to get ready."

There's been banter over the last year or so, and for both of us we just want to deliver the best Games and the best Village for our fantastic athletes.
