  • Barcelona continued their training in Britain ahead of their first International Champions Cup match with Celtic in Dublin on Saturday (30th July).
Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal said on Wednesday (27th July) that he's looking forward to the challenge of competiting for the available right-back position following Dani Alves's departure.

Barcelona continued their build up to the new season with one notable onlooker in the stands.

Luis Enrique's have based themselves at St George's Park - the home of the England team - ahead of the Spanish Champions' first friendly in Dublin on Saturday.

Roy Keane, the assistant coach of the Republic of Ireland, watched on from the stands as Luis Enrique's stars loosened up.

And Keane was an interested viewer, seen taking notes of Barcelona's training session.

A blond Lionel Messi was spotted out on the training pitch - Barcelona' all-time record goalscorer recently retiring from international football.

At the other end of the experience scale is defender Aleix Vidal. He'll now be competiting for the available right-back spot following Dani Alves's departure to Juventus....

"It's not pressure, it's a challenge, a difficult challenge with Sergi Roberto, who was ahead of me last season in the right back position. Dani Alves is one of the best full-backs in the world and obviously my challenge is to try and get the spot. I respect the fact that Sergi Roberto is also in contention and I've got to play well."

Vidal and his teammates will go onto Stockholm to face Premier League champions Leicester City on August 3rd, Liverpool three days later at Wembley before taking on Sampdoria at the Nou Camp on August 10th.
