  • Juventus beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Tuesday (26th July) in the second game of the International Champions Cup to be staged in Australia.

Tuesday night in Melbourne saw Italian Champions Juventus play Tottenham Hotspur in their inaugural match of the International Champions Cup.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground saw a healthy attendance of both Juve and Spurs fans inside the largest stadium in Austraila.

With two Champions League sides on show perhaps what they wouldn't have expected was a cacophony of errors early on.

Ryan Mason playing a seemingly unproblematic ball back to youngster Dominic Ball, yet his error led to Paulo Dybala's opener, with just six minutes played.

It goes worse for Spurs, with the 20-year-old Ball unfortunately involved again. His clearance went straight to Miralem Pjanic who arrowed his cross onto Medhi Benatia's head.

2-0 to Juventus with just 15 minutes gone.

Tottenham made changes and the most notable of those - Erik Lamela - pulled a goal back for the North Londoners.

New signing Victory Wanyama with the assist.

Yet that was it, as Juventus won 2-1.

Spurs now play Spanish side Atletico Madrid on Friday night again at the MCG.
