  • Steve Bruce resigned as manager of Hull City on Friday (22nd July) just three weeks before the newly-promoted side begin their English Premier League campaign.

Steve Bruce has chosen to leave his role as manager of newly promoted Hull City.

Just days after being interviewed for the position of England boss.

The 55-year-old, who did not take training on Friday, had said earlier this summer he was uncertain of his future at Hull, who are up for sale.

Bruce became Hull boss in 2012, and led them to promotion last season.

Bruce is now odds on to become Sunderland manager, with Sam Allardyce's appoint as England manager imminent.
