  • Triple European champion hammer thrower Anita Wlodarczyk trained and spoke to SNTV ahead of the Rio Olympics.

Anita Wlodarczyk will be one of Poland's brightest medal hopes at this summer's Rio Olympics.

The hammer thrower is a triple European Champion, double World Champion and a world record holder.

However, despite her impressive pedigree the 30-year old has never won Olympic gold.

She won silver in London four years ago, and is aiming to go one step further in Rio.

SOUNDBITE: (Polish) Anita Wlodarczyk, hammer world champion and world record holder:

"My goal for Rio is to win the Olympic gold medal. It would be a dream come true. In my career I won a gold medal in every other championship competition except the Olympic Games.

The Rio Olympics begin on the 5th of August - with Wlodarczyk hoping this will be her year.
