Captains Alastair Cook and Misbah ul-Haq on Wednesday assessed their side's chances on the eve of the first Test between England and Pakistan at Lord's.

"It's a big opportunity for him that he just comes on the field and performs for Pakistan and win (the trust of) the people again. At the moment no worries for us in terms of Mohammad Amir."

"It's a big challenge. I think that's how a team develops and that's an opportunity for us to play good cricket and be competitive here and try to win this series."

"I think you really need to focus on all 11 players, especially the whole batting line-up. As you know England are really good, especially in their lower middle order they can really hurt you and we have to focus each and everybody. Some of the batsmen are not in good form. That could be a plus for us but at the same time we should be aware of the others who have been really performing well."
