Shanghai SIPG presented new signing Hulk at a press conference on Friday (1st July). The Brazilian joined them from Zenit St Petersburg earlier this week.

Shanghai SIPG signed Brazilian forward Hulk from Zenit St. Petersburg on Thursday and introduced him to the press on Friday afternoon (1 July) in a downtown hotel in Shanghai.

The 29 year old will be paid a reported $22 million a year, double what Neymar at Barcelona is paid.

Hulk said he was excited to begin a new journey with Shanghai.

I believe that I can make number 8 in this club successful and I will do everything to help to win games with my teammates here."
Hulk passed a medical examination at a Shanghai clinic on Wednesday after he was greeted by hundreds of fans at Shanghai's airport. He will join a squad led by former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who is under pressure to improve results after falling 12 points behind league leaders Guangzhou.
