  • Reaction from Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and West Indies coach Phil Simmons after the tourists' six-wicket win in the one-day tri-series match in Bridgetown, Barbados on Tuesday (21 June).

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian all-rounder (79 not out)

"Very happy. I've got a chance to play in another final for Australia and that's what we came here to do today. So it was a great win."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian all-rounder (79 not out)

"It's right up there. I think anytime you can bat through an innings and be not out in a win, in a crucial chase like that, it's very satisfying. I've put in a lot of hard work and haven't had much of an opportunity ... well I have but I haven't taken it in this series. So it's really nice to step up and get us over the line."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian all-rounder (79 not out)

"We play a lot of cricket where sometimes you miss out a few times and it's really key not to get down, to keep backing my skill, that's all I've done. I've worked extremely hard in the nets the last few days and it's just nice to see it come off out in the middle. So I wasn't too worried. All I focused on was trying to contribute to winning for Australia and not really think about myself too much and a lot of the time that helps."

SOUNDBITE (English) Mitchell Marsh, Australian all-rounder:

(On Glenn Maxwell's performance - 46 not out from 26 balls)

"I said give yourelf a few balls mate and go for it. I was lierally speechless at the other end watching an innings like that. I think Maxi's obviously had a lot of doubts and hasn't been in the greatest form but an innings like that really shows why he's one of the first picked in this side because he's so dangerous and he can win us games like that in a few overs."

SOUNDBITE (English) Phil Simmons, West Indies coach:

"Yeah there are a lot of things we can take from it. I think when you're up against Australia and you're 30 for three, to come back and make 280 you have to take that, taking them to the second to last over you have to take that, especially with our main bowler and captain (Jason Holder) missing. So there's a lot of things you can take from today."

SOUNDBITE (English) Phil Simmons, West Indies coach:

"We were bowling well. But you have to give credit where credit is due and Maxwell came out and played a blinder for them and that's the sort of person he is. One day he'll give you it first ball and the next day he can win the game like that so you can't really take that away from him."
