Prosecutor accuses Pistorius' psychologist of bias

Tuesday, June 14 2016 by SNTV
  • The first day of Oscar Pistorius' sentencing hearing was brought to an end on Monday (13th June) following the testimony from a clinical psychologist who recommended against further imprisonment for the South African athlete.

"Now, I have to put to you that I find - let me rather put it very clear, my argument - that in your report you're biased towards the accused. To give a report that is best for the accused, in terms of sentencing. Is that what you tried to do?"

"What I tried to do is present the court with this person, in the fullest extent, and to link what I saw in 2014 with now, (to) convey my understanding of him as a person over time, patterns that exist, so that the court can then see the person who is being sentenced. That is what I tried to do."
